BATAVIA — Federal funding to replace police and fire department radios, as well as aid to help with a new public safety building and police station are on the city’s mind.

“The city has already invested $125,000 in replacing 49 portable radios,” City Manager Rachael Tabelski said. “I am writing in support of the grant funding request on behalf of the city of Batavia to replace 55 portable and 34 mobile public safety radios.
