FLINT TWP, Mich. (WJRT) – Officers and 911 dispatchers have been having a busy snow day with non stop calls coming in after receiving hundreds of reports of crashes across the county.

The Genesee County 911 dispatch center says many of the accidents come from slick road conditions.

Dispatcher Jessica Young says she’s been taking calls since 7 a.m. Each call she receives is a different type of accident based on the area that plows have been able to get it.

“Probably within an hour upwards of 100 calls, but it’s just the difference of types of calls,” Young said. “Obviously it’s more crashes when we get a storm like this but we get crashes when there’s only an inch of snow too. It just depends on how seriously everyone takes it…
