Moniteau County Emergency Dispatch responded to a 911 call out of Jefferson City on Monday morning during which text-to-911 was successfully used to help secure the scene, according to a news release from emergency dispatch director Kevin Wieberg.
According to the release, a caller’s daughter believed someone was attempting to gain entry into her residence after hearing footsteps and banging sounds in the house and had locked herself in a bedroom, afraid to make any noise.
