nder the direction of the Emergency Communications Supervisor, the 911 Dispatcher performs skilled technical communications work in the operation of the 911 Telephone System and the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) Communication Center. Work involves the exercise of independent judgment in receiving and transmitting law enforcement, fire, medical and other emergency services information by radio, telephone, and computer and determining what actions are necessary based on the call.The emergency dispatch center is a 24/7/365 operation.
