911 Operator / Dispatcher
The City of Galena Park Police Department is accepting applications for a full-time Emergency Services Dispatcher position. The hourly salary range is $17.29 – 18.13 per hour. Dispatchers direct calls for emergency and non-emergency services including Police/Fire/EMS and after-hours calls for other city departments.
Applicants must be available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Qualified applicants will be able to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations. Strong communication skills and clear diction are required. Other required skills include, but are not limited to typing (35 WPM), operation of a radio console, telephone, computer, and related communications equipment.
