MARIETTA, GA — Local residents who have an interest in the inner-workings of the Cobb County Department of Public Safety are invited to participate in the agency’s annual citizens’ safety academy this fall.

The 13-session academy provides residents with an inside look at various aspects of the Department of Public Safety. During the course, participants will be provided insight into various aspects of the department, including how the police, fire, animal services and 911 departments are organized and provide safety to Cobb County residents, department officials wrote in a social media post on Monday.
