The North Bay Police Service has mounted a social media campaign aimed at educating the public about the proper usage of the 9-1-1 service. In recent weeks, the focus of the public service announcements from NBPS has been on what to do if you mistakenly dial 9-1-1.
The message: Don’t hang up, stay on the line and speak with the dispatcher so they know it was an accidental call to the service.
