The University of Cincinnati’s (UC) Office of Public Safety has upgraded its emergency communications system to send campus-wide alerts more efficiently.
UC’s Communications Center has transitioned away from a web-based alert system and can now send out safety alerts with the press of a button, officials said in a release on Jan. 31.
Dispatchers can press these buttons, developed by the Maryland-based Alertus Technologies, to alert the campus community of an active attacker, a police emergency or a non-police emergency, such as a fire, officials said… READ MORE
