The City of Collinsville is accepting applications for a full-time position of 911 Telecommunicator. This is a full-time, union, hourly position that reports to the Civilian Support Services Supervisor, or the Sergeant on Duty.
This position is responsible for maintaining liaison between police officers and the department, police officers and the public, the public, and other emergency personnel. Duties include but are not limited to monitoring, communicating, and recording radioactivity of field units, conducting periodic safety checks to recognize situations when assistance is necessary, providing assistance according to department policy and procedure; answering 911 and non-emergency calls, including fire and EMS calls, screening information, prioritizing call and forwarding appropriate information to the proper authority…
