A Peoria man, Nicky McDonald, has been arrested for child pornography. We are learning more about the case from a Freedom of Information Request.
McDonald is a registered sex offender and police records show he used public WiFi to access porn sites.
According to police in early August, McDonald was seen sitting outside of the Peoria Police Emergency Communications Center using their public WiFi. Their initial investigation showed McDonald was looking up porn sites on his phone using that WiFi.
