BOCA RATON – The parents of a restaurant worker fatally shot as he drove home on Interstate 95 in February 2018 have sued the city of West Palm Beach, saying a dispatcher didn’t do enough to deter the alleged gunman.

A lawsuit filed Monday argues that when Hugo Selva called after shooting another man in West Palm Beach on Feb. 6, 2018, the dispatcher, who’d been on the job for 30 years, told him to go to police headquarters and alerted detectives, but she did not follow up.
