BEREA, Ohio — For many Berea residents, Anne Boone has been the reassuring voice they hear when they call the Berea Police Department.
Even after dispatch services were regionalized in Strongsville five years ago, “people call and ask for me,” said Boone, who retired at the end of her shift at noon on Aug. 21 after 35 years as a dispatcher and five years as a clerk with the BPD.
