Friday morning just after 9am Spokane Valley Police got a call from dispatch that a man was pounding on the door of a business and was trying to get inside.
A few minutes later dispatch got a call that the man was actively shooting. According to Spokane Police, the Deputies engaged the man and a gun fight ensued.
Scanner traffic activity captures what appears to be an deputy saying shots have been fired and the suspect had been hit.
“Shots fired, shots fired,” the call to dispatch said in the heat of the moment. “He’s going southbound from my location. Suspect has been hit.”
