ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) – Atlanta officials honor a group of 911 dispatchers for how they handled two high-stakes situations.

The recognition took place Friday afternoon, at the Georgia World Congress Center. The first group of dispatchers were honored for helping a 10-year-old boy, who had called 911 after his parents had died.

Organizers recognized two other dispatchers for assisting in a suicide call.

FOX 5 News talked to one of them, about how she helped the 14-year-old caller.
