Redwood City — County of San Mateo has adopted the Simplicity app, a new mobile communication channel that directly connects with residents by delivering important announcements and events directly to the user’s phone.
The free app doesn’t require residents to create an account to receive updates from the County of San Mateo and their participating city of residence. When it comes to emergency response, time is of the essence, and KITTCOM recently rolled out advanced technology that helps shave precious time off their responses to calls for help.

National Telecommunicator Week is the second week in April. This week is set aside each year to celebrate and recognize all telecommunicator/dispatchers.
There are presently 14 dispatchers at Texas County 9-1-1. These dedicated men and women are members of your communities. There are dispatchers of all ages, with different backgrounds. They are dedicated beyond belief, putting the safety of the citizens above their own. They work shift work 24 hours a day.
