PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles City Council is asking for public input on the possible use of the Volunteer Practice Field for a Joint Public Safety Facility.

Smart 911 safety profiles allowing emergency dispatchers to react quicker (AR)

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Rave Mobile Safety has created a new safety app called Smart 911.

The app allows users to create a safety profile giving emergency services instant access to the user’s personal information. The 911 dispatchers then use this information to assist in emergency situations.

Jason French, State Director for Smart 911, tells us out of 66 million Smart 911 users nationwide, 200,000 of those users are in Arkansas.

Smart 911 was created in 2009 but Arkansas was also the first state to implement Smart 911 in all emergency call centers across the state in 2012…

EDINA, MN — The Edina Police Department put out a message late Wednesday night warning that some 911 calls may not get through.

The department said the Edina 911 Communications Center was “experiencing difficulties” with calls from T-Mobile/Sprint users and recommended they call the 10-digit, 24-hour dispatch line — 952-826-1600 — if they had an emergency.
