JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) – A Washington County woman accused of aggravated child abuse and aggravated child neglect previously served as a Washington County, Tennessee 911 dispatcher, county officials confirmed on Friday.
MARSHALL – Madison County first responders have expressed their dissatisfaction with the county’s outdated public safety radio network for some time, but the county is now one step closer to overhauling its 911 radio network.
As of this month, Emergency Medical Services dispatchers have a new, artificial-intelligence based system that will help them make critical decisions like those faster and better, parish officials say.
New York City, home to the largest and busiest 911 system in the country, is on track to implement a next-generation 911 system in 2024 that can accept photos and videos from callers, according to an annual report released by the city’s Office of Technology and Innovation on Thursday.
“These people are the true first responders,” says Lake County Emergency Management coordinator Mark Clary of the staff at the Dispatch Center, tucked away on the second floor of the courthouse.
