Ex-911 dispatcher intentionally set dozens of fires ‘to give the boys something to do,’ feds say (OH)

A former 911 dispatcher with a volunteer fire department in Ohio has allegedly admitted to starting at least 24 fires in the area because he wanted to keep his co-workers busy.

INDIANAPOLIS — Around noon Saturday, 13 callers were in the queue at the Marion County 911 Communication Center.

The wait time for an operator was nearly 19 minutes.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — A Greene County 911 operator appeared in court on charges related to the death of a woman in 2020. 

Leon Price was held for trial on charges including involuntary manslaughter.
