COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council will be asked by Public Safety Director Joe Scheid on Monday night to approve his request to update the current video surveillance system at the Coldwater Public Safety Building.

Scheid says there are four surveillance cameras in the building that were installed many years ago to allow the records clerks to see if there were any police officers available to take complaints, and they do not record.

He goes on to say in his letter to the Council that the current political climate has led to a rise in police stations and public safety employees being targeted during retaliatory violent acts…
