Daviess County and the city of Washington appear to have reached an agreement for a combined emergency dispatch system.

“After meeting with the mayor (Washington Mayor Dave Rhoads) and councilman (Washington City Councilman Allen) Brown on June 14, we have come to a consensus to move forward,” said Daviess County Commissioner Nathan Gabhart. “With our agreement this moves the proposal to the city council for their approval at their next meeting and then to the county council.”

Final wording on the agreement will be worked out in a memorandum of understanding between the city and county by their attorneys…
