This sign will be on display all week just outside the Monroe County Central Dispatch building. The text says "Between the Thin Red Line and the Thin Blue Line lies the Thinnest Gold Line that represents those who are rarely seen, but mostly heard. Thank you, Dispatchers. Nerves of Steel. Hearts of Gold. The Calm Voice in the Dark."
Supervisor Dave Morgan, who has been employed with Monroe County since 2002, views records and data systems inside Central Dispatch, where all 911 calls are received.

An outdoor greeting sign is on display this week just outside the Monroe County Central  Dispatch building at 987 S. Raisinville Road.

The sign honors Monroe County’s 911 dispatchers, and is in honor of April 11-17 as   National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week – 911 Dispatcher Week
