RUCKEE — This week the North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District has left the Washoe County Dispatch center and is working with the Grass Valley Emergency Command Center for all fire and medical calls.
The change is unlikely to be noticed by the public, officials say. However, the move is meant to help enhance daily operations between fire agencies in the Tahoe Basin.
