Durham, NC – On Monday, the city of Durham is taking steps to make sure that someone can quickly answer the phone when people call 911.
As of May 16, the city lacks 10 dispatchers, and Durham needs to hire more than a dozen calls, dispatchers and shift supervisors for the 911 Durham Center.
