It’s been over four years since Hawley Ambulance has been the official, primary ambulance service for Hawley Borough. Finally, after completely reorganizing, the company is back.

Hawley Borough Council unanimously agreed to designate the company, now known as Lake Region EMS, as the borough’s primary Basic Life Support (BLS) provider at a meeting held April 13.

If Lake Region EMS is unable to answer a call, Commonwealth Health can respond as the “nearest available” BLS and Advance Life Support (ALS) provider. Wayne County Communications Center can also dispatch other nearby companies able to respond, including Tafton Ambulance and White Mills Ambulance, among others…
