In the last week Rimbey RCMP responded to 61 calls for service. These calls include but are not limited to: six thefts, three complaints of threats uttered, three thefts of motor vehicles files, and five traffic collisions.

On August 21 RCMP responded to a 911 hang up call. The caller phoned 911 as a prank and thought he could hang up before dispatch found his location. Members attended and found the male outside the residence with his girlfriend. When one of the constables approached and spoke with him marihuana could be smelled, he was laughing, and he did not hide the fact that he was smoking. The officer explained the consequences of prank calling 911 and he said he was sorry, but as it turned out the male had an outstanding warrant and was consequently taken into custody.
