Laura Grant played a role in saving hundreds of lives.
The 57-year-old Burlington woman was a long-serving and beloved fixture as a dispatcher at the Mississauga Central Ambulance Communication Centre (CACC.)
The centre provides EMS dispatch services to Peel and Halton.
At one time, Grant had also been a paramedic.
But on Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m., the call that came in wasn’t about a stranger — it was one of their own.
