ELLSWORTH — The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office and Regional Communications Center (RCC) are the latest local agencies to switch to a digital communication system, joining much of the rest of law enforcement — and the world — in going digital.

Like the Ellsworth police and fire departments and, well before that, the Maine State Police, the Hancock County first responder agencies will go from analog to digital this spring.
