The people who answer 911 calls in BC may disconnect if their callers wait on the line for an ambulance, according to new changes by the county’s largest 911 dispatcher.

Allowing 911 operators to hang up allows them to take more calls in total, including urgent police and fire calls, E-Comm said in a press release on Wednesday.
