Job Description

The Communications Supervisor reports to the Police Chief or his or her designee. The Communications Supervisor is a working supervisor who is responsible for supervising and coordinating functions of the Communications Center including performing all functions of a Public Safety Dispatcher, employee supervision, evaluation, training, shift scheduling, and duty assignment to personnel. The Communications Supervisor ensures compliance with City of Kenai personnel rules and regulations and Standard Operating Procedures. The position is subject to call out 24 hours a day for emergencies and major incidents that impact Communications Center operations.
