GRANT COUNTY – Grant County Regional Dispatch Authority Supervisor Jasmine Sandoval has been named New Mexico’s Emergency Medical Dispatcher of the Year.

Sandoval, one of 200 certified emergency medical dispatchers in New Mexico, was selected to receive the prestigious award by the New Mexico Statewide Advisory Committee and New Mexico Emergency Medical Service Bureau in April.

Since she began as a dispatcher in 2007, Sandoval has handled numerous accidents with injuries, patiently assisted the elderly and even helped deliver babies over the phone. Because she’s a supervisor, she often helps the public while also training new dispatchers…
