One week after reviewing a facilities master plan, which included a recommendation for the renovation of sheriff’s office infrastructure, the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to declare a facilities’ emergency over the state of the county’s 911 radio communications system.

“This is a major public safety issue,” said 2nd District Supervisor Estelle Fennell.
